A curious story...
When Ronaldo Torquato lived in Búzios, at the beginning of the eighties, he used to exchange some of his paintings, in this case an exchange for tattoos. Later on the tattooist exposed the paintings that he received as payment in his studio, in Los Angeles. In a visit, then new actor Johnny Depp, accompanied of another beginner, Nicolas Cage, demonstrated interest in the pictures. Both started to argue in a type of surprise auction who would take the paintings. Displeased and fed up with the dispute, Cage puts aside offering more, making Depp one of Ronaldo's first international buyers.
Almost twenty years later the same tattooist goes to Johnny Depp encounter, this time having in hands several canvases of Torquato. The actor now famous makes his second acquisition then. There was just a controversial misunderstanding in the media of Brazil, because Ronaldo did not receive the payment for the paintings. The title of the subject implies something that in fact didn't happen, being clear here that who complicated the payment was the middleman, not the buyer.
